I am a first generation Palestinian-American Muslim. I was born in raised in Greenville, South Carolina. My parents immigrated to the United States from Jordan and growing up, I always admired their passion and dedication to reach their goals, which engrained this same values into me.

Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by individual's who came from different walks of life and spoke different languages. I was always fascinated and compelled to learn languages whether that was attempting to learn Turkish or perfecting my mother tongue, Arabic. Because of this, I was able to observe the effects that a language barrier has on individuals. This helped ignite my passion to find ways to lessen the burden this causes. Because of this, I was compelled to major in Spanish and International Health to master the Spanish language with the goal of serving a wider range of patients in the future.
